At London Houseware (trading name of London Gift Zone Limited), we strive to offer a delivery experience that’s reliable, flexible, and customer-first. Whether you order small home accessories, kitchen upgrades, or larger household items, our delivery approach combines modern courier networks with clear, fair policies. Below you’ll find everything from processing times to delivery exceptions — designed to give you confidence.

1. Order Processing & Shipping Partners

All orders placed on the London Houseware website are processed within 1–2 business days after successful payment. For in-stock items, we often dispatch same-day if ordered before 2pm (Mon–Fri). We work with leading courier partners including DPD, APC, and Royal Mail for smaller parcels, plus dedicated freight solutions for bulky items. Larger deliveries may be carried by our trusted white-glove delivery network to ensure care.

Once dispatched, you’ll receive an email and/or SMS with real-time tracking information and an estimated arrival window.

2. Delivery Locations & UK Coverage

We deliver across mainland England, Wales, and parts of Scotland (including central belts and lowlands). We also serve many rural areas, but some remote postcodes may have extended lead times or limited service. At this time, we do not deliver to Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, and specific Scottish Highlands/Islands postcodes (full exceptions list available at checkout).

If you reside in a remote zone, please contact our team — we may still be able to arrange delivery via a third-party carrier for an additional surcharge.

📍 Postcode exceptions (indicative non-delivery zones): AB30-AB56, BT, DD, FK17-21, HS, IV, KA27-28, KW, PA20-78, PH30-44, TR21-25, ZE and other highland/island codes. Full list appears at checkout. We're continuously expanding coverage.

3. Delivery Options & Transparent Charges

🚚 Standard Delivery

Free on orders over £400 (excluding certain oversized items). For orders below £400, a flat fee of £4.99 applies (small items) or calculated at checkout for large appliances. Estimated delivery: 2–5 business days.

⚡ Express / Next-Day

Next working day delivery for in-stock items (order before 4pm). From £5.99, but FREE on all orders over £400. Weekend express options available for selected postcodes (Saturday/Sunday delivery from £6.99).

🏷️ Small Items (under 20kg)

Small accessories, bakeware, lighting: orders under £300 incur a £4.50 shipping fee. Orders of small items totalling £300+ qualify for FREE standard delivery. Delivered by DPD or APC with 1hr time window.

🛠️ Installation & Old Collection

We offer installation services for built-in appliances, cookers, and washing machines across most of England & Wales (fee from £35). Old appliance removal available for £25 — simply select at checkout.

💡 Not at home during week? Choose our Weekend Delivery (Saturday or Sunday) – just use the postcode checker on any product page to see availability. No weekend surcharge for orders over £400!

*Maximum of 2 flights of stairs considered with prior notice and additional handling fee of £15–£30 depending on product weight. Delivery teams are not insured to carry extremely heavy items beyond 3rd floor without lift. Please contact us if your property has specific access constraints.

5. Delivery Scheduling & Time Windows

When you order, you will be able to select a preferred delivery date at checkout for stock items. We’ll send an SMS the evening before (7pm–9pm) with your estimated 2-4 hour timeslot. Our standard delivery hours are 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days a week. A signature (or contact-free photo) is required upon delivery.

Failed Delivery Charges: If our driver arrives within the agreed slot and nobody is present to accept the goods, or access is impossible due to obstacles/steps not previously notified, a £15 failed delivery fee may apply. Redelivery attempts are subject to an additional shipping cost. Please notify us before 12 noon the working day prior if you need to cancel/reschedule.

⚠️ Important: Ensure the delivery address has a clear, unobstructed pathway. For heavy items, ground floor access is required; for flats, a functioning lift is mandatory (with dimensions that fit the product).

6. Click & Collect • Non-Billing Addresses

🏪 Click & Collect (London warehouse)

Need an item urgently? Choose Click & Collect at our London warehouse (EC1V 2NX). Orders ready within 2 hours during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm). No delivery charge — just bring ID and order confirmation.

🔒 Delivery to alternate address

If your shipping address differs from the billing address, we may perform additional security checks. This could add a short delay, but protects you from fraud. We recommend using the cardholder’s verified address where possible.

7. Remote Postcodes & Self-Arranged Freight

For some remote areas, we partner with third-party carriers. Delivery to postcodes such as HS, ZE, KW1-17, IV (Highlands), PA20-78, PH30-44, TR21-25, BT, IM is not available for standard shipping. However, customers in these regions may contact us to arrange delivery via a private freight company (you organise collection from our warehouse in England), or we can quote a specialist courier service with additional costs.

If your order contains large items (cookers, American fridges) and you live in a remote area, please call our customer service at 020 7870 3456 for a bespoke delivery quote.

📦 Our own fleet for local deliveries: In Greater London, parts of the Home Counties, and major cities, we often use our own fleet for larger appliances – giving you a precise 2hr slot and white-glove placement.

8. Order Tracking & Liability

London Gift Zone Limited (trading as London Houseware) remains responsible for your order until it is signed for at the delivery address. In the unlikely event of loss or damage in transit, we will coordinate with the courier and offer a swift resolution — replacement or refund. Please inspect the packaging upon arrival; if damage is visible, note it on the delivery driver’s device or refuse the parcel and contact us immediately.

You can track your order through the "Track My Order" page using your order number + postcode, or via the courier’s live map (where available).

9. Delivery Delays & Address Accuracy

While 98% of our deliveries arrive within the estimated timeframe, external factors such as extreme weather, peak season volume, or courier disruptions may cause occasional delays. We will proactively notify you via email/SMS if a major delay occurs. Incorrect Address: Please double-check your shipping details — we cannot be held responsible for delays or lost parcels due to incorrect address information. Address amendment fees of £7 may apply after dispatch.

10. Eco-Removal & Recycling

For a sustainable choice, we offer old appliance collection with any new delivery of a like-for-like product (washing machines, fridge freezers, dishwashers). The fee is £25, and our team will remove the old unit from your property (must be disconnected and accessible). We ensure WEEE-compliant recycling. Not available for small electronics or microwaves — please use local recycling centres.
